Job Interviewing with Natural Hair

If you read my other blogs, you would know that I am currently looking for another job.
My decision now is how I will wear my hair on an interview. Can I do a wash and go? Or should I do the safe bun or ponytail? Should I go and flat iron it for interviews and slowly transition to natural once I get a new job? The last interview I was on, I did a wash and go. It was very neat, no one seemed to care, but could my natural hair cause me to not get a job? Do I want to work there anyway if it did?

I think it depends on what kind of job you are interviewing for. If it's a bit conservative, a bun might be best, if it's a fashion magazine, big-haired wash & go might work. I guess a good guide might be to adopt the look of your future boss's boss.
Usually, imho, a ponytail is not a good look for an interview, because it looks like a bad-hair-day or gym hairstyle, But of course, there are ways to dress up a ponytail so it is well-groomed too.
As far as natural hair, I haven't had any issues interviewing with natural hair. And, I wouldn't want to work anywhere where I would.

How long is your hair? It sure does indeed depends on the type of job your being interviewed for. I did read once that there are so many different styles when it comes to going to interviews. There are images of styles on fotki.com. like brunsli said who would want to work in an environment where your hair is an issue? Too many ignorant people out there regardless if your hair is natural or relaxed.. You shouldn't change your hair because of what others think/feel and so forth follow your heart...
Well my hair is longer, if you scroll to other posts I have pics, but I am unsure. I have only been natural (sans hot comb) since May. I am just wondering if I need to revert back to my pre wash and go days and do a bun or ponytail.
